Saving Water The J & P Way
It is never a good idea to waste anything and water is no exception. Scarce in some areas in the world and very expensive in others, if you have a water meter installed in your home, it is always a good idea to conserve water wherever possible to help keep your bills down to a minimum. To help you keep your wastage down to a minimum we have drawn up a list of 10 great tips. Let us know which ones you think are best? Don t use your dishwasher or washing machine until they are full. Running half loads of either will increase the number of times that you use them resulting in much higher water consumption. One for the summer now make sure that you do any garden watering during the evening. The water will not evaporate so quickly and therefore you will not have to water again so quickly. Taking a shower rather than running a bath is an obvious water saver but did you know that a reduction of just 60 seconds per shower will save over 680 litres of water a month (based on a shower a day)?
